About.

Solstice is a multidisciplinary architecture studio shaping homes and community-rooted spaces from concept to construction. Rooted in Salt Lake City, Utah and Southeast Ohio, with projects across the U.S.

Since 2020, we’ve collaborated with clients to shape environments that support how they live, work, and connect. From early ideas to final details, our work is driven by clarity, connection, and care. What we do lives at the intersection of architecture, art, and process.

We are principled but not rigid.
We don’t follow a single style. We are curious but not aimless, practical but not limited, relaxed but not indifferent.
Every project begins as a conversation; an exploration of place, constraints, ideas, form, experience and materials.

Service is our signature.
For us, it’s not just about delivering great design, but building real relationships along the way. Every project is a balance of bold ideas and grounded execution. We aim to create spaces that feel intuitive, lasting, and like they belong.

Our approach is rooted in architectural depth, shaped by hands-on construction knowledge, and informed by building science. We create spaces that support comfort, performance, and wellbeing, drawing on experiential design and Passive House principles.

Founded by architectural designer Caroline Wallace and architect Shay Myers, partners in work and life, who believe the best architecture begins with listening. Our remote team is grounded in craft, curiosity, and care, with a focus on design excellence and the business that sustains it.

Solstice continues to learn from clients, colleagues, and the land itself. While no two projects are the same, the goal is always consistent: to create spaces that reflect the people who use them, and that stand the test of time.

Let’s create something meaningful together.

Caroline Wallace • Principal

Caroline Wallace is a co-founder and designer at Solstice, where she leads with both vision and execution, balancing form, experience, and strategy across every project.

A Utah native, Caroline brings a multidisciplinary lens to her work, shaped by a background in art, real estate, architecture and construction. She leads projects that balance exploration with intention, always with an emphasis on design that responds to place and people. She brings an awareness of how design and business inform one another, and integrates that into her work to support strong outcomes for both clients and the studio.

Outside of Solstice, she continues to expand her creative practice as a mixed-media artist and can often be found in her studio or out on the trail, running and observing light, texture, and movement.

His work is guided by the belief that architecture should be both artful and inevitable.

Outside the studio, you’ll find him woodworking, skiing, or moving through the landscape on foot or by bike.
